The Berkeley team were delighted to host their second workshop with key stakeholders from Peckham to discuss how they can support young Southwark residents into skills and job training through a new programme they are establishing.
Supporting local young people has been a key priority for the team from the outset and we have engaged with the community about this throughout our consultation process.
Berkeley are delighted to be establishing a Youth Ambassador Programme (Berkeley YAP), which aims to give young people from the community exposure to the built environment industry, whilst also encouraging them to engage with and be part of the redevelopment proposals for the Aylesham Centre, Peckham.
We held our first two sessions of the YAP at the Consultation Hub earlier this year, sharing our plans and seeking advice from key stakeholders and youth practitioners on how we can best meet the needs of local young people. We will host a final workshop with the group in the coming months to share our final programme.
